Rescue Me ID: 17-02-06-00327Bud & Bubba (male)

Manx Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good with Other Cats, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Needs Vaccinations

This post is for a pair of brothers who have been together since birth. Their mom was Manx however, these 2 have long tails, not the short bobbed tail. They need to both be taken and should not be separated from each other. Bud is a tuxedo cat and weighs approximately 20#. Bubba is a gray tabby and weighs about 15#. They are strictly indoor cats. They are both declawed on the front paws only. They both use the same litter box and eat out of the same bowls. They are on Whiskas dry food. No soft food. Temptation snacks 2 x daily. They can be left alone without incident. They do not destroy furniture etc. I have traveled consistently their ... (Read More)entire lives and they are left alone with enough food & water for up to 4-5 days at a time without any problems. Bud is the dominant of the 2 cats and they do scrap occasionally which is not abnormal for brothers to do. They are also very loving to each other and spend a lot of time sleeping and playing together. They have never been around other animals therefore I listed they would be better off not around dogs or other cats. They have not had vaccinations because they are indoor cats and in healthy condition. They do not bite. PS: these cats are not lap sitters. They are also difficult to carry around due to their weight. They are not small cats. Bubba grew up laying in front of me at the computer and still does this today. Bud is a foot cat and loves rubbing feet. Both purr loudly and love attention. They will come with their bed etc. I do have carriers but they are smaller and not for permanent use with these cats due to the size of the cats. I have a large dog carrier also, which you will be welcome too. For further details call me. 219-384-6852. (Less)

lnteresting Manx Trivia Low-Cost Indiana Spay & Neuter Clinics
Manx Cats are descended from native cats indigenous to the Isle of Man. One legend states that Noah closed the door of the Ark on a Manx Cat, which explains the absence of a tail. The Manx can jump to absurd heights. Manx Cats often behave like dogs and bury their toys.
